Corporate Social Responsibility Project Carried out by Ringardas

As part of our commitment to carry out some corporate social responsibilities at our host communities where we operate, Ringardas was able to renovate a block of classrooms at a public school; LEA primary school Kurunduma, FCT, Abuja. The school was established in 1976.

Ringardas was able to carry out this project with the financial support of Rubis Group.

The renovation work involved the following: Structural repairs of cracked walls, complete replacement of the roof, rafters, and ceiling, fixing of floor tiles in the classrooms and corridor, painting of the entire block, installation of new blackboards in the classrooms, and provision of new desk and chairs for the pupils.

In addition to the renovated block of classrooms, Ringards also donated 3 new units of pedal-operated handwashing system to the same school.

During the handover ceremony, the Corporate Affairs Manager, Mrs. Nana Shaibu, formerly handed over the projects to the headteacher of the school Mrs. Ruth Joshua. She thereafter advised the pupils who were also present, to reciprocate the gesture of the company by working hard in their studies.

The headteacher was visibly happy and expressed her heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the management and pupils of the school, to the management of Ringardas. She said they were particularly happy because no renovation has been done in the school for a very long time. According to her “we have long waited for the realization of this project and now that it has been completed, we are grateful, and it will be judiciously used.

RNL also donated 2 new units of pedal-operated handwashing system to Junior Secondary School Asokoro. The essence of providing the handwashing system is to enable the pupils to have easy access to handwashing facilities and develop a culture of good hygiene. This is also particularly necessary in these times of COVID-19.
